Drive to Likir. a small Buddhist enclave. Experience Basgo Gompa’s original 16th century murals, and Likir Gompa’s 11th century aura and spectacular view. The colorful confluence of Zanzkar and Indus Rivers is fascinating and photo-worthy.

Enjoy a pleasant hike to the secluded Mangyu, a petit and charming village at 14,000 feet. Later, visit historically important Alchi Gompa and Lamayuru Gompa, the oldest holy site in Ladakh and located on a high promontory overlooking the valley.

It’s back to to Leh, with a stop at Gurdwara Shre Patthar Sahib, a Sikh temple dedicated to the religion’s founder, Guru Nanak. After a stop at Spituk Gompa—a temple with spectacular views of the Indus Valley, relax or explore on your own.

Drive along the world’s highest road navigable by car, Khardungla pass. At 18,390 ft., it is like driving along the top the world. Arrive in Nubra by noon and check in to your hotel. Your evening will be at leisure.

Drive back through the thrilling Khardungla Pass to Leh, where you’ll stroll to a Leh bazaar or a visit the Leh Mosque. Steeped in history, the mosque is an impressive amalgam of Tibetan, Central Asian, Ladakhi and Muslim architecture.

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi, bringing to a close your North India tour adventure in mystic and magnificent Ladakh.
